What Is Money Used For In Palworld?

Before we jump into the handy hints and hips to make money fast in Palworld, we should probably mention what money is used for in this game. After all, unless you find a Small Settlement near the starting area, you may not come across a Merchant for quite some time.

Money can be used to buy a wide variety of things in Palworld, but instead of naming each individual item, here’s a flavor of what’s on offer:

  • Players can buy items and resources from a Trader/Merchant
  • Players can buy Schematics from Merchants
  • Players can buy Pals from a Pal Merchant
  • Provided you can find them, you can buy Contraband Pals from the Black Market Merchant

It is also worth mentioning that players can sell items, resources, tools, weapons, and Pals. But we will get into that in just a moment!

How to Make Money Fast In Palworld Tips

Okay, so now that you know that money is a useful resource that can do a lot for you in palworld, you now need to know how to roll in the dough. So here are our helpful tips to get you filthy stinkin’ rich!

#1 – Catch Humans

Okay, so we might as well get the most dark and twisted way to make money out of the way. Many beginner players will know that an easy way to make Coins in Palworld is by killing any Mob Enemies that you come across, such as Syndicate Thugs, for example.

However, what many people don’t know and tend to find out by accident is that you can also catch humans in Pal Spheres. An act that does seem a little nefarious. But it only gets worse if you want to make cash.

If you head to the Black Market Merchant and attempt to sell Pals, you’ll also be able to sell Contraband items, which, in case you haven’t gathered, is basically human trafficking. Like I said, pretty dark.

But if you can put the morals of this act aside, it’s a very good way to make money in the game, as these Human Enemies sell for huge stacks of cash. So craft a few extra Pal Spheres and nab some when you attack your next enemy camp.

#2 – Sell Surplus Materials

Okay, everything settles down from here, I promise. Our next tip is to regularly make trips to the Small Settlement northwest of the starting area to sell your surplus materials.

Some materials just aren’t worth lugging over there, such as Wood, Stone, and Ore, for example, as they only sell for one Coin each. So, what you want to do is focus on low-weight items that are easy to craft in bulk and then sell for a high price.

Take Wool, for example; it’s easy to farm from the start of the game; you can farm loads of it fast with the help of Melpaca, Cremis, or Lamball; it weighs next to nothing and sells for 10G a pop. there are plenty of items like this, so just pick one that works for you!

#3 – Complete Dungeons

Our next tip is to head into Dungeons and really explore each cavern of these Boss Areas. As many of you will probably know, if you’ve seen one Dungeon, you’ve pretty much seen them all, and you’ll know the route to the Alpha Pal as soon as you spawn in.

However, there tend to be a number of Chests lying around the Dungeon, and there tend to be quite a few Mob Enemies in there, too, which you can cash or kill to make a profit.

But that’s not all. When you beat the Boss Pal at the end of the Dungeon, you’ll also get a couple of reward chests for your efforts, and these tend to have high-value items that are explicitly for selling to Merchants and some top-tier items that fetch a pretty penny if you are willing to part with them. So, if you pass by an active Dungeon, do yourself a favor and take it on!

#4 – Catch Multiples, Sell Multiples

As we mentioned in our How to Level Fast In Palworld guide, it’s good practice to catch multiples of Pals you already own, as you gain an XP boost up to ten Pals of the same Species.

But when you’re done with this process, chances are that you’ll have no use for these Pals. This is exactly why you need to get yourself over to the Pal Merchant, who is more than happy to take them off your hands.

In the early game, you won’t get a ton of cash for these Pals because they will be common, low-level Pals. However, as you start catching tougher pals with ease, breeding Pals, and hatching eggs to get multiples of Rare Pals. Then, you can really start to become a top-tier Pal Seller and reap the rewards.

#5 – Mau Farming

Then, lastly, if you want to earn some passive income while you put all of the above tips into action, then you’ll want to catch either a Mau or a Mau Cryst. These are Egyptian Sphinx-inspired Pals that can be placed at a Ranch back at your Base, and if you do, they will produce Coins.

The only important caveat to this is that you will want another Pal at your base who is good at Transporting on hand to carry these coins to a nearby Chest. We would suggest Pals like Hangyu or Killimari for the job.

For those who are unaware, you can find Mau in a few caves in Palworld, but it’s much more likely to find these Pals inside Dungeons, which makes it all the more important to follow our guidelines on tip 3, because if you don’t explore thoroughly, you might miss them!

Money, Money, Money

So there you have it, Pal Tamers, five quick and easy ways that you can build up your coin collection, allowing you to buy new items, Schematics, and Pals when you come across a Merchant in the game.

We hope that this helps you spend your cash wisely, and as always, thanks for reading Indie Game Culture!
