Catching Pals in Palworld is a lot of fun. Alongside battling and the fun base-building mechanics, it’s the main draw of this new creature-tamer epic. However, in the early game, your catching ability is low, and there are only so many Lamballs you can catch before you get fed up. But what’s the solution?
Well, as it turns out, you can actually save your coins, trade with merchants to rack up some income, and you can find specific merchants who will sell you Pals without any need to capture them.
This can be a great way to expand your Paldeck, get cool Pals on your roster, and avoid needing to craft endless supplies of Pal Spheres in an attempt to catch rare and powerful Pals. Here is Indie Game Culture’s Can You Buy Pals In Palworld Guide.

Where Can I Buy Pals In Palworld?
Pals can be bought through two different merchants. You have Pal Merchants that tend to be found in Settlements dotted around the map, and then you have Black Market Sellers, that are harder to find and tend to be located in paths off the beaten track, deep in forests, and in abandoned mines and caves.
Pal Merchants

These merchants, as mentioned, are so simple to find. In fact, you can access one right at the beginning of the game if you are willing to explore a little beyond the initial starting area.
If you head North West of the starting area, you will eventually find yourself in a Small Settlement. An area where you will find some NPCs, a Cave Dungeon, a standard merchant where you can trade items and equipment, and, of course, the Pal Merchant.
These Merchants tend to have pretty accessible Pals that can be found within the region where you find the trader, but if you find them very early in the game, this can be a great way to get a base worker you need, a Pal Type you prefer, or a mount to get around quicker. Just don’t go breaking the bank, because their selection isn’t all that rare.
Black Market Merchants (Contraband)

Then you have the Black Market Pal Merchants, which are pretty tough to locate, but if you do, you’re in luck because they will have a much more desirable and rare selection of Pals, which will almost definitely allow you to build your Paldeck in some shape or form.
These sellers offer a variety of Pal, which may not necessarily be available in the region you find yourself in. This is a great way to gain access to new and exciting creatures that will help you take down bosses, build larger bases, and conquer Palworld!
The best way to locate one of these traders is to explore the coast or inside caves and mines, as they tend to try and stay away from any form of civilization.
Can You Sell Pals In Palworld?
Yes, you can also sell Pals in Palworld, but what I would say is that, unless you have been working hard to fill the Pal’s respective XP Bonus Meters, and you happen to have loads of the same creature, then the prices tend not to be worth giving up a monster that is capable of doing a job for you, whether that be on base, or in battle.
If you want to become a great trader, you’ll want to try and catch multiples, exhaust their XP Bonus, and then take the fodder Pals to the Pal Merchant, and who knows, if you sell enough, you might make enough cash to make the Pal you buy practically free. There’s some girl math for you.
Turns Out You Can Buy Your Friends
So there you have it, guys; it is possible to buy and sell Pals in Palworld. Just another small and welcome way that Palworld diversifies itself from Pokemon for the better.
We hope you make a killing and secure some awesome new Pals in the process, and as always, thanks for reading Indie Game Culture.
