The Lake Temple – Heal the Goddess of Flowers and Unlock New Adventures
The Lake Temple is a mysterious structure located in the northeastern portion of the map on Coral Island. When you first encounter the temple by exploring the map, it’s a solitary and rundown temple.
However, after you receive a vision, the Goddess of Flowers meets you there and tells you that restoring the temple will help her regain her power.
The temple acts similarly to the community center in Stardew Valley. There are various crops, resources, insects, and fish that you need to collect and give to the appropriate altar. You receive a reward once you have made enough offerings, and the temple is just that much more restored.
The rewards are well worth completing. Not only do you get free items out of it, but it also unlocks the ability to fast travel across the map. It can even unlock new areas for you to explore.
Narratively, you’re helping the Goddess of Flowers regain her power, which she can use to help heal the island. Restoring the Lake Temple is vital if you want to prevent the oil company from buying the island.
How to Unlock the Lake Temple’s Restoration Quest

After completing some initial quests, visiting the townsfolk, and interacting with the mysterious trees dotted throughout the island, you’ll receive a vision in one of your dreams. The dream suggests that you should visit one of the shrines.
The shrines are large trees with a stone tablet in front of them covered in gibberish. You can recognize them by the putrid, green, vapor hanging around them. Travel to any of the trees and interact with them.
The following day, you’ll see little wisps of flowers in a circle. Follow them.
The flowers will take you to Chieftain, a Giant, who tells you about the poor state the island is in. He wants your help to heal the land and find the other Giants. To do so, he helps you unlock your Third Eye, which allows you to read the gibberish on the stone tablets.
He also tells you to visit the Lake Temple and meet the Goddess of Flowers.
Head to the Lake Temple at the northeast point of the map, and you’ll trigger a cutscene. The Goddess of Flowers will speak to you as another wisp of flowers. She’ll introduce the different altars and ask you to help restore them.
Following the cutscene, you’ll be able to start restoring the temple.
How to Complete the Lake Temple in Coral Island – Prepare for a Long Grind
The Lake Temple offerings take a while, and they’re meant to take a while. You can also think of them as a progression guide for the game. It can help steer you in a direction when you’re overwhelmed with all the different activities.
To help you begin your journey toward restoring the temple, it’s worth knowing what each altar wants.

The crop altar is one of the easiest altars to complete. You just need to plant the appropriate crop that it wants and then deliver it to the altar when you have the required crops. It only wants one crop, too, so you don’t have to worry about missing a lot of money.
Each time you complete one of the offerings within the altar, you receive a reward. It’s typically seeds for some crop.
Completing the altar also gives you even greater rewards. You’ll receive 40 Heritage Points to improve the town’s rank. The sacred tree in the town is also healed. Most importantly, it unlocks the Greenhouse.
Completing the crop altar can take a while since you have to wait for the appropriate season to pass by to grow specific crops. However, by focusing on this altar and completing it as soon as possible, you can gain access to the Greenhouse and have even more opportunities for farming.

The catch altar covers all things catching. That means it wants fish and insects that you can collect throughout the island. There are six different offerings that vary in difficulty. You’ll need to submit all the offerings to restore the altar.
This particular altar can take a while to finish, too. Only some fish or insects are available every season, so you may need to wait for the appropriate season to go after them. Some also only spawn in areas that may not be accessible to you at the start of the game.
It’s also worth upgrading your fishing pole and bug net to make collecting the required offerings easier.
The rewards for the catch altar are typically items that can make fishing and catching bugs easier. You can receive traps, for example, that allow you to catch certain fish and bugs passively. The rewards can also help open the door to new production lines like the bee house and fish pond.
When you complete the altar, you receive quite a few rewards. The fast travel waypoint to the Hillside is unlocked. You can heal the sacred tree in the forest area. You receive 40 Heritage Points for the town rank. It also unlocks a new area called the Dig Site.
The catch altar takes time to complete, but it’s worth focusing on if you want to explore more of the island.

The third altar is the advanced altar. As its name might suggest, it focuses on advanced production lines or advanced crafting resources. For farmers, it leans heavily on animal products. The altar also expects you to have a basic kitchen by this point so you can cook some meals.
It also expects you to be mining and fighting monsters as you’ll need to deliver monster loot to it.
Depending on how much you’ve been playing the game or where you’ve spent most of your time, this altar may take less time to complete. For example, if you’ve been spending a lot of time mining, there’s a good chance you might already have everything you need for the monster loot offering.
The rewards you receive for completing the offerings are better than those for completing the altar as a whole. Each offering gives you a production station like a mayonnaise machine or a keg. These items help speed up your production, so completing the offerings as quickly as possible is worth achieving.
When you complete the altar, you’ll have healed the sacred tree in the lake area. It also unlocks the recipe to make a Warp. The Warp lets you fast-travel across the island, which is fantastic, but that’s all you receive from the altar.
I’d leave this altar for last unless you already have what it wants.

You can think of the final, or rare, altar as the top-tier altar. It wants all the high-quality stuff you typically produce in the game’s later stages. It covers all the different aspects of the game, too. It requires rare crops, rare animal products, rare mining goods, and even rare resources.
Getting to the stage where you can produce these resources for the altar will take some time. However, working your way to it is an excellent idea since it offers some pretty sweet rewards.
Each offering gives an advanced production station like an aging barrel or a sprinkler. It also unlocks unique recipes like the jamu recipe. It even grants you some scarce resources like osmium kelp essence and slime of replication.
When you complete the altar, you get even more exciting rewards. You’ll earn 40 Heritage Points for the town. The sacred tree near your farm will also heal. You’ll gain a mythical pet seed, which lets you grow a plant that turns into a unique pet. You won’t be able to get this pet anywhere else, so if you’re a completionist or love pets, then the rare altar is worth focusing on.
