If you’re in the process of completing ‘The Woodfolk’ and have already completed Hammer and Tongs, then you won’t need to finish this quest to progress.
But considering the XP and rewards on offer for completing haunting cases in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, we would urge you to complete Prudence in All Things. Mostly because it’s pretty quick and easy.
That being said, there are some parts to this quest that aren’t 100% straightforward, which is why we are here to help. So without further ado, here is our Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Prudence In All Things Guide.

Investigate Prudence’s Home

To begin this quest, you’ll need to head to a house left of the area where you find Kate. Here, you will find a house that is stained with Spectral markings.
You’ll want to knock on the door before heading inside to investigate. Inside you’ll find Spectral Markings relating to numbers and codes, along with a map that points the player toward ‘Three Oaks’ in the forest.

At this point, leave her home and head around the back of the house, where you will find her shortcut into the forest.
Finding The Three Oaks

Just keep moving forward from here, and this will lead you to the Three Oaks. You’ll need to fight some Wolves along the way, but before long you’ll see some glowing trees ahead, and hear a woman speaking French. Follow that voice and you’ll find Prudence.

Prudence will be reluctant to discuss anything to do with her personal matters, her home, or any potential hauntings that are tied to her. So you’ll need to let her go and follow the trail onwards. Switch to Athea at this point as there is now a Spectral Trail to follow.
Finding Thomas
Along this trail, you will have to fight some Possessed Wolves and some Bonewalkers, and when they have been defeated you’ll find a hideaway where Prudence has clearly been doing something shady.

Inside, you’ll find a book that has more numbers, codes, and general nonsense, but at this point, Athea and Red realize that this is a Cypher. A cypher she has been using to send encrypted messages to fellow countrymen. Something that perhaps ties her to the burnt docks in New Eden.
Follow the trail onwards, and up ahead you’ll have the option of clearing a Spectral Nest.

This will see you fight a mini-boss called Shot Deserter, and the special condition of this fight is that Light and Punch attacks deal more damage. Defeat the boss first, and then pick off the lesser Specters when the big threat has been neutralized.

After this, you should see a Ghost up ahead, who will lead you into a fight with a Wolf, a Specter, and a Bonewalker. Defeat them, and then head through the gap in the cliff. Inside, you’ll find a Huguenot Crest, which will trigger a flashback cutscene.

From this scene, we learn that Thomas, her partner learned of her true identity but chose to keep the secret. From here, follow Thomas’ ghost as he tries to ward you off and this will lead you to a break in the wall where you can enter.
Inside you’ll need to fight some Wolves, but be sure to take The Tracker in the chest nearby before climbing ahead.

After this, you’ll come face to face with Thomas again, who will lead you toward a falling boulder and will then ambush you with an Alpha Tormented, a Specter, and a Bonewalker. Focus on the Alpha first, and then deal with the others.

When this is done, climb up the ledge, and to the left you can follow a path to a campfire where you can rest, find a chest containing the Weapon Second Wind, and find a Witch Stone Chest.
But be sure to hop down to the area just ahead of you, as this is where you will find the Ghost’s Tie to the world, A Chisel that he used to kill himself.
Banish, Blame or Ascend
After you find this, head to the nearby Campfire and rest, and when you return you should be able to find Thomas’ ghost and get a proper chat with him without him summoning Specters to kill you.
He will tell you that he lingers because he intends to keep Prudence safe even in death by leaving messages using her Cypher.

After this discussion, Prudence will show up and ask who you are talking to. At this point, you should confront her about her haunting, and about Thomas. At this point, she will let her guard down and tell you that she misses him every day.
To which Red will inform her that he cannot leave until she is safe from harm, and her presence in New Eden keeps him here.

At this point, you must then decide their fate. You can banish Thomas, or have him Ascend. Or you could sacrifice Prudence for being a liar and a Spy who serves as a threat to New Eden. But whatever you choose, this will mark the end of this quest, where you will receive a reward of 1,200XP for your troubles.
An Undercover Agent Is Exposed
So there you have it, a full walkthrough for Prudence in All Things in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. This one is a little bit hard to follow at times, especially from Thomas’ side of events, but I hope that this guide allows you to make an informed decision when the time to Blame, Banish, or Ascend comes.
