Lies of P Legendary Weapons Guide

Lies of P Legendary Weapons Guide – Our Top Ten

I love Lies of P’s Legendary Weapons. Even if the regular weapons are increasingly customizable and brimming with clever design, the joy of the boss weapon’s increased damage and unique abilities make them far worth the investment.

Even still, I was frustrated that no point in the early game told us we could spend our rare Ergo on boss weapons, so we could accidentally consume our rare ergo, not knowing we could obtain a fantastic boss weapon later. Worse yet, we could completely pass Alidoro by and never be able to trade our boss Ergo for Legendary Weapons.

In this Lies of P Legendary Weapons Guide, I’ll review how to obtain Legendary Weapons and special amulets from Alidoro for the most overpowered swords, hammers, and circular saws throughout our puppet-slaying adventure. As a bonus, I’ll detail the best legendary weapon to trivialize the final boss of Lies of P.

TL;DR

Powerful weapons based on a wicked boss we’ve defeated; legendary weapons are potent rewards we can get for redeeming bosses’ Rare Ergo with Alidoro.

While Alidoro forces us to choose between an amulet and weapon for each boss Ergo, these weapons tend to have incredible damage or a unique skill, like the Frozen Feast, which increases its attack speed with each hit, or the Uroboros’s Eye, which’s fable art functions like a powerful ranged attack.

These weapons can be claimed by trading Rare Ergo gained as rewards from defeating Bosses, so don’t go with the 5,000 Ergo boost they offer; hold onto them for a later payoff. These can be traded with Alidoro, who is first encountered in the St. Frangelico Catedral Library before the fight with the Fallen Archbishop.

While we can’t disassemble these weapons and choose a different blade or grip, we can still alter their handle and make them scale better with a Motivity Crank, Technique Crank, or Advance Crank. However, to upgrade legendary weapons, we’ll require Dark Moon Moonstone; a rare resource expertly hidden throughout Lies of P.

Here is a quick list of all the Legendary Weapons on offer in Lies of P:

  • Etiquette
  • Two-Dragons Sword
  • Trident of the Covenant
  • Seven Coil Spring Sword
  • Noblesse Oblige
  • Proof of Humanity
  • Puppet Ripper
  • Holy Sword of the Ark
  • Frozen Feast
  • Uroboros’s Eye

How to Get Legendary Weapons In Lies of P

To obtain legendary weapons, we’ll have to find Alidoro hiding away in the ruined St. Frangelico Cathedral. To begin, starting from the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library Stargazer, head through the left side passage, looking out for the floor pieces that trigger an arrow trap.

In the next room, we’ll find a few rotting enemies with some black goop dropping from above and a few holes that I advise staying far away from, or else we’ll have to return to the start. Continuing in the following room reveals a few more enemies and a tight bridge with carcass enemies tossing acidic gunk at us.

After heading into the next room, we’ll have to traverse a poisonous floor and a few more foes I recommend taking out with Puppet’s String to interrupt their attacks. This room leads to another room with a leftward passage connecting to a larger, open-ended area with a mini-boss.

I recommend running past the mini-boss and looking for an elevator at the room’s end. Taking the elevator up leads to a scenic view of the city and a dog-headed man named Alidoro.

After a brief greeting, Alidoro agrees to sell us legendary weapons and amulets in exchange for any rare ergo we obtain from bosses. I recommend telling Alidoro to head to Krat Hotel, however, as it’s more of a hassle to warp to Venigni’s factory, and telling him about the hotel takes us a step closer to becoming a real boy.

Following defeating Fallen Archbishop Andreus, Alidoro relocates to Krat Hotel, then to the Barren Swamp after we beat Champion Victor, and finally to Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field after we defeat the Black Rabbit Brotherhood for a second time.

CAUTION: Before Upgrading

Before we obtain a boss weapon from Alidoro, consider that we can only reliably upgrade two boss weapons to their maximum for the entirety of a Lies of P playthrough. I recommend sticking to Frozen Feast and Uroboros’s Eye and leveraging an appropriate crank to adjust if we put points into a different stat that doesn’t innately scale with the weapon. Also, while the game gives us some boss weapons for defeating the final two bosses, we’ll have to wait until New Game Plus before we can upgrade them to their maximum, as we’ll likely need more Dark Moon Moonstone upgrade materials.

Lies of P Top 10 Best Legendary Weapons

10. Etiquette

Lies of P Best Legendary Weapons Etiquette
  • Blade Type: Dagger
  • Weight: 7.9
  • Scaling: (Motivity: D, Technique: A)
  • Fable Arts: Single Stab, Absolute Counterattack
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 37.49
  • Physical Attack: 80

Frankly, a rather unimpressive boss weapon, most regular weapons can easily outperform Etiquette regarding range and damage. While it boasts some middling DPS and an easier time with countering enemy attacks, we’ll generally find ourselves struggling in latter fights to deal enough damage to destroy bosses.

We can obtain Etiquette by trading Broken Hero’s Ergo to Alidoro.

9. Two Dragons Sword

  • Blade Type: Sword
  • Weight: 12.9
  • Scaling: (Motivity: D, Technique: A)
  • Fable Arts: Link Emergency Dodge, Wind of Swords
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 47.16
  • Physical Attack: 107

A decent enough sword-based weapon, the Two Dragons Sword is a fine sword on par with other regular armaments and is relatively easy to par enemy attacks with. While I still recommend heavier weapons to deal more damage, this is an acceptable mid-game choice if you prefer a lighter-equip load and focus on getting perfect guards.

We can obtain the Two Dragons Swords by giving Alidoro the Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter’s Ergo.

8. Trident of the Covenant

  • Blade Type: Blunt
  • Weight: 16.4
  • Scaling: (Motivity: C, Technique: B)
  • Fable Arts: Link Rush Stab, Guard Parry
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 55.89
  • Physical Attack: 115

A mediocre blunt weapon, the Trident of the Covenant is a fine boss weapon on par with some of the best regular weapons like Living Puppet. Though it’s a decent choice if you can’t afford the carry weight of better, heavier boss weapons, I still recommend Frozen Feast and Sword of the Ark for their superior damage.

We can get the Trident of the Covenant for trading Twisted Angel’s Ergo to Alidoro.

7. Seven Coil Spring Sword

  • Blade Type: Greatsword
  • Weight: 18.7
  • Scaling: (Motivity: B, Technique: C)
  • Fable Arts: Seven Explosions, Guard Parry
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 61.34
  • Physical Attack: 129

A decent enough boss weapon, the Seven Coil sword is an enjoyable large greatsword with an explosive weapon art. While I still recommend the Holy Sword of the Ark, this is a fun weapon if we enjoy creating explosions to send foes flying.

After trading Parade Leader’s Ergo to Alidoro, we can obtain Seven Coil Spring Sword.

6. Noblesse Oblige

  • Blade Type: Large Blunt
  • Weight: 24.7
  • Scaling: (Motivity: A, Technique: D)
  • Fable Arts: Ego Release, Endure
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 69.9
  • Physical Attack: 153

Perhaps the most potent Motivity weapon in the game, Noblesse Oblige would have shot straight to the top of the list had it not been for obtaining it at the end of the game. While its high attack and scaling in Motivity make it an excellent choice on a second playthrough, I recommend sticking to Frozen Feast if we want a more powerful, large weapon earlier on.

We can obtain Noblesse Oblige by trading Fallen One’s Ergo to Alidoro.

5. Proof of Humanity

Lies of P Legendary Weapon Proof of Humanity
  • Blade Type: Sword
  • Weight: 20.5
  • Scaling: (Motivity: B, Technique: B)
  • Fable Arts: Link Slash, Grind
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 64.15
  • Physical Attack: 100

Coming in the middle of the pack is Proof of Humanity, our reward for defeating Nameless Puppet and cementing ourselves as a real boy! While this weapon would be an excellent find for sword users looking for an eye-dropping move set, Proof of Humanity is only viable for New Game Plus, making it useless for our journey.

Even still, it far outclasses most of the earlier boss weapons, deals some serious DPS, and functions with Sekiro-esque move set that will leave soulslike veterans giddy. I highly recommend Proof of Humanity on a second playthrough after trading the Nameless Puppet’s rare ergo to Alidoro.

4. Puppet Ripper

  • Blade Type: Sword
  • Weight: 16.4
  • Scaling: (Motivity: C, Technique: B)
  • Fable Arts: Quick Upward Slash, Storm Spinning Slash
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 51.77
  • Physical Attack: 137

One of the better Technique weapons, Puppet Ripper is a wicked sword with a curved end that lets us brutally tear foes apart. While it deals less damage than more potent weapons like Holy Sword of the Ark and Frozen Feast, its quick attacks make it excellent for guarding.

I only recommend Puppet Ripper if we prefer faster-paced weapons with a long reach, as the other motivity weapons outclass it in terms of damage and range. We can obtain Puppet Ripper by trading the King of Puppet’s Rare Ergo to Alidoro.

3. Holy Sword of the Ark

  • Blade Type: Greatsword
  • Weight: 21.2
  • Scaling: (Motivity: B, Technique: C)
  • Fable Arts: Patient Smash, Alter
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 71.87
  • Physical Attack: 140

Coming in third is the Holy Sword of the Ark, A massive Sword that demolishes opponents with its superior damage and range. While Frozen Feast later outclasses it, the Holy Sword of the Arc is an excellent starter boss weapon to see us through most of the early-mid game.

Despite its heavy weight and slow swings, the giant stone greatsword deals enormous damage and boasts some incredible fable Arts, allowing us to dish out several quick attacks to bring a boss to a stagger.

I highly recommend this weapon against early-game foes until we reach Champion Victory and can switch to Frozen Feast for its superior damage and range. We can obtain the Holy Sword of the Ark by trading Alidoro King’s Flame Fuoco’s Rare Ergo.

2. Frozen Feast

  • Blade Type: Greatsword
  • Weight: 31.1
  • Scaling: (Motivity: B, Technique: C)
  • Fable Arts: Liberate, Single Slash
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 70.00
  • Physical Attack: 167

My second favorite of the late-game legendary weapons, Frozen Feast, is a massive greatsword that increases in attack speed after continuous attacks. While its attacks are somewhat slow, we can spend a fable point to briefly increase our attack speed or spend all three on a potent fable art that few moves can interrupt.

I highly recommend this weapon for its severe damage, vast range, and ability to quickly stagger bosses with its charged attacks and Single Slash Fable Art. We can get the Frozen Feast by trading Champion Victor’s rare Ergo to Alidoro.

1. Uroboros’s Eye

  • Blade Type: Sword
  • Weight: 16.5
  • Scaling: (Motivity: C, Technique: B)
  • Fable Arts: Wandering Moon, Storm Notice
  • Guarding Damage Reduction: 47.16
  • Physical Attack: 107

What I’d argue is the best boss weapon in Lies of P, Uroboros’s Eye deals absurd DPS and succeeds with its robust and low-cost Wandering Moon Fable Art, which one-shots most regular enemies and can devour a boss’s health with a few uses.

We only get this weapon towards the end of the game, but if we’ve conserved enough Dark Moon upgrade material, we can still bring it to at least +3 or +4. I highly recommend coating it with an acidic grinder to make the most out of Uroboros’s Eye so we can tear the final two bosses to pieces.

We can obtain Uroboros’s Eye by trading Sad Zealot’s Ergo to Alidoro.

FAQs

Question: What is the Best Lies of P Legendary Weapon?

Answer: Uroboros’s Eye’s high DPS, potent Fable Arts, and Low weight make it nearly indisputably the best legendary weapon in the entire game. While other weapons like Sword of the Ark and Frozen Feast deal more damage, their slow swings compromise them against attacks from the Nameless Puppet and Awakened God, making Uroboros’s a welcome pick.

Question: How Do I Get Legendary Weapons in Lies of P?

Answer: After making it to the top of the St. Frangelico Cathedral and past an area brimming with black ooze, look for an Elevator that takes us to the Cathedral’s top. Up here, you’ll find Alidoro, who trades you Legendary Weapon or amulets for every Rare Ergo you’ve acquired.

Question: Should I Pick Legendary Weapons or Amulets?

Answer: While some legendary Weapons deal incredible damage, the lack of the Dark Moon material to upgrade them means we’ll likely get more utility out of the Amulets rather than the upgrades. I recommend saving Frozen Feast, Holy Sword of the Ark, and Uroboros’s Eye and considering spending the rest of the rare ergo on amulets if it benefits your playstyle.

Conclusion

Best Lies of P Legendary Weapon ranked

Masterfully done, Puppet! You’ve crafted a terrifying boss weapon to make puppets and eldritch horrors quiver in their cogwheel boots!

Though I wish Lies of P were more generous in giving us boss weapon materials so we could experiment more, I appreciate that I could settle on Uroboros’s Eye and tear an eldritch nightmare in two!

Regardless, we can enjoy trying out these legendary weapons on later playthroughs and have our revenge against evil Puppets and Eldritch nightmares once more!
