A Trio Of Awesome Indies Set To Disappear From PS Plus

As someone who regularly has to fight Sony’s corner in heated console debates, I personally know how tough it is to find value in Sony’s PS Plus Premium Catalog. Especially with Xbox Game Pass being such a force to be reckoned with.

Well, this month, it’s not about to get any easier, as a handful of amazing indie games are set to leave the PS Plus lineup.

This is a PSA to all indie fans who pay for Sony’s monthly subscription service, as incredible indie experiences are set to depart the platform. Here is a quick list of the most prominent indies that will no longer be free to play via PS Plus:

  • Chicory: A Colorful Tale
  • Nidhogg 2
  • Through The Darkest of Times

Of the three listed, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is by far the most notable indie departure on the platform, as this title is a critically acclaimed masterpiece, if the title’s 90% aggregate score on Metacritic is anything to go by.

The games listed will be departing the service on the 19th of September 2023, meaning that you have just over one month to play these games before they are taken away, possibly to never return.

The PS Plus Comings & Goings

Of course, these are not the only games that will be removed from the platform in the coming weeks, as the service intends to remove some prominent AAA offerings too. Not to mention add some interesting titles as well.

So with that in mind, here is a comprehensive list of all the games that will be added to the platform in the month of September, including the day-one release of retro meets modern JRPG Sea of Stars. As well as a full list of all the games that will be leaving as well.

That being said, we highly recommend you bomb through it this month before it’s gone.
