Blasphemous 2 Rosary Bead Locations

If there’s one thing I hate in Metroidvania games, it’s collectibles for collecting’s sake. I like my loot with a little functionality. If you’re going to make me fight gargantuan bosses and devilishly taxing enemies along the way, it’s the least the developer could do.

Thankfully, Blasphemous 2 makes sure that every weird oddity you come across has something to offer the player. For example, Cherubs aren’t just arbitrary collectibles. They unlock a new zone on the map, giving you an altarpiece that can significantly help you defeat the last Boss fights of the game.

Then you have Cobijadas, which will appear in The City of the Blessed Name, offering you to upgrade all the Prie Dieus in the map, making the exploration way more straightforward.

Blasphemous 2 hides many secrets, and Rosary Beads serve as another mystery to add to the pile. You may initially think they are plain old stat buff items, but there’s a little bit more to these religious relics, I assure you.

Explaining Blasphemous 2 Rosary Beads?

Rosary Beads are special items you can put in your Rosary. Every Rosary Bead has an effect; some increase your Defense against a specific type of damage, others let you find hidden rooms, and others can reduce the guilt that blocks your Fervour bar every time you die.

There are 27 Rosary Beads, three less than in the first game. These items are hard to find, so this will take a while, but let me give you a tip before starting to make things easier.

Notes Before Finding the Rosary Beads

As I said, the Cobijadas can upgrade your Prie Dieus. One of their upgrades lets you use them as Teleports spots, so if you are in the latest stages of the game and haven’t started to explore yet, I strongly recommend you to go and find all the Cobijadas, then head to the City of The Blessed Name, reach the Fast Travel room, and then go to the room at the other side of that hallway.

You’ll find all the Cobijadas there, and if you talk with the biggest one and pay the tributes she’s asking for, you’ll upgrade the Prie Dieus, letting you teleport to any Prie Dieu you want whenever you pray at a Prie Dieu.

I also recommend finding all the Cherubs before trying to get all the Rosary Beads, as you’ll need them for a Rosary Bead. Here’s a guide in case you need help!

This guide is meant for those who haven’t traveled to the Crimson Rains yet and want to collect everything before challenging the last few Boss Fights of the game. So, you must have all the abilities unlocked to get all the Rosary Beads.

Rosary Bead Locations

Scratched Lead Spheres

• Location: Profundo Lamento
• Effect: Slightly decreases Physical Damage

This is the first Rosary Bead you can find in the game, and it’s located in Profundo Lamento. Go to the Prie Dieu in the middle of the zone, then go to the left and drop down until you find a section with rooms on both sides.

Go to the room on the right; you might recognize this room as here’s where you met Yerma. Keep walking to the right in that room until the floor starts crumbling, and drop yourself down there. Here’s where you found the Ivy Of Ascension, the ability that lets you climb walls.

After that, head to the left, and you’ll find a golden chest that contains the Scratched Lead Spheres.

Votive Offering of a Hopeful Mother

• Location: Aqueduct Of The Costales
• Effect: Increases resistance to all elemental damage

Teleport yourself to the topmost Prie Dieu of Aqueduct of the Costales. Now, go to the left through a small hole you must dash through. After that, climb up the ladder. Now, go to the right and climb the ladder you’ll see there, and go to the left after that. You’ll eventually see the chest you are looking for.

Go to the top of the structure where the chest is, and you’ll see a climbable wall next to it. Jump and stick to it, as there’s a set of spikes at the bottom. As soon as you see the spikes, you must jump and dash to the opposite wall. After that, you can easily climb up to get the chest.

Obulus of Proximo

• Location: Aqueduct Of Costales
• Effect: Significantly increases the amount of Tears of Atonement you get by killing enemies

This is the Rosary Bead that requires you to collect Cherubs. You’ll need 24 of them to get it. When you get them, go to the topmost Prie Dieu of Aqueduct of Costales and head right. You’ll eventually find a new zone named Garden Of The High Choirs.

Here, you’ll meet a giant Cherub named Próximo, who will ask you to free all his brothers, the Cherubs. But as you have already freed them, the Cherubs will appear, creating platforms for you to climb to the top of the tower.

So, to get to the Obulus of Próximo, climb the tower until you see an entrance on the right. Get inside and head right. You’ll eventually reach Elevated Temples, where you’ll find the chest with the Rosary Bead.

Broken Bell

• Location: Sacred Entombments
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to Mystical Damage

Teleport yourself to the topmost Prie Dieu of the Sacred Entombments. As you arrive, go to the right until you find a big hole also serving as a tall stairway to reach the lower zones of Sacred Entombments. Drop yourself down by sticking to the right wall; you’ll land on a platform leading to a room. Get inside. You’ll see some enemies and a Bell in this room; kill them all, ring the Bell with your Venedicto, and rush to the chest to find the Broken Bell.

Bead of Whimsical Essence, Earring of Regret, and Deformed Rat Skull

• Location: City of the Blessed Name
• Bead of Whimsical Essence: Increases resistance to Mystical Damage
• Earring of Regret: Increases resistance to Lightning Damage
• Deformed Rat Skull: Decreases the number of enemies you need to kill to get a Martyrdom Point

You can buy these three Rosary Beads in the shop on the eastern side of the City of the Blessed Name. The Bead of Whimsical Essence and the Earring of Regret costs 3000 Tears of Atonement, and the Deformed Rat Skull costs 6000 Tears of Atonement.

Perforated Liar’s Tongue

• Location: Choir of Thorns
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to Miasma Damage

Go to the Prie Dieu at the top of Choir of Thorns, then go to the left until you exit the elevator’s room. As you get here, descend to the first rocky platform you can see. If you look at the right, you’ll see a big gap filled with thorns; the chest with the Rosary Bead is on the other side. You can reach it by double jumping and then dashing.

You can also find this place from the Prie Dieu at the entrance of Choir of Thorns by walking to the right until you enter a cave for the second time. Be sure you go through an entrance on the lower right of the first cave you reach. Climb up as you reach the second cave, and you’ll find the zone I described earlier.

Vitrified Lighting Bolt

• Location: Crown of Towers
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to Lightning Damage

You’ll find this Rosary Bead quickly as it’s in the usual route you must follow the first time you explore the Crown of Towers. The fastest way to reach this zone is by teleporting to the bottommost Prie Dieu, and walking to the right through the lower hallway until you find some platforms to climb up. You’ll eventually find a Praying Statue you can use to reach the chest. It’s not hidden at all.

Scorched Lily

• Location: Crown of Towers
• Effect: Increases resistance to Fire Damage

You might have found the Merchant roaming around during your first time exploring the Crown of Towers. If you didn’t, here’s the room where you can find him:

The Merchant sells this Rosary Bead. It costs 6000 Tears of Atonement.

Imperfect Sphere of Guilt

• Location: City of The Blessed Name
• Effect: Reduces the guilt that blocks the Fervour bar after you die

You’ll get this Rosary Bead by visiting The Confessor and paying to purge yourself from guilt thrice. As you do this, leave the room and get inside again, and you’ll see how the room got full of flowers. The biggest one near The Confessor will open up, revealing the Rosary Bead.

Concentrated Sphere of Guilt

• Location: City of the Blessed Name
• Effect: Greatly reduces the guilt that blocks the Fervour bar after you die

Follow the same process I described above for another three times, and you’ll get the Concentrated Sphere of Guilt.

Price of Blood

• Location: Grilles And Ruin
• Effect: Slightly increases the amount of Tears of Atonement you get by killing enemies

Go to the Prie Dieu of Grilles And Ruin near the Palace of the Embroideries. If you haven’t found this Prie Dieu yet, go to the entrance of Grilles and Ruin and start walking to the right without taking any detour. Follow the map, and you’ll get there.

As you reach the Prie Dieu I mentioned above, exit that room through an entrance at the bottom right. The first thing you’ll see outside, aside from some enemies, is a ladder that leads to the sewers. Go down there, walk to the right until you find a wall, and hit it. It’ll reveal a new zone with the chest that contains the Rosary Bead.

Senior Embroiderer’s Thimble

• Location: Palace of the Embroideries
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to fall and trap damage

It’s time to go to the Palace of the Embroideries. Go to the rightmost Prie Dieu of the Palace of the Embroideries, then go to the left; you’ll find a room with a big chandelier that serves as a shortcut and a chest that contains the Rosary Bead.

Lips of the Golden Mask

• Location: Mother of Mothers
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to Fire Damage

Go to the topmost Prie Dieu of Mother of Mothers, then go down until you find a section leading to rooms at the right, left, and bottom. Go to the left. Inside this new room, go to the top, then move to the left to enter an opening with two Mirror Statues. Ignore them for now, and use the ladder you’ll see there to go down. Stick to the wall at the left of the ladder and hit it to reveal a hidden zone with the chest that contains this Rosary Bead.

Ill-Fated Cord

• Location: Elevated Temples
• Effect: Increases resistance to Miasma Damage

You’ll see the Merchant the first time you get up to the Elevated Temples. He’ll give you a quick monologue about the upper part of the City of The Blessed Name being inaccessible until that point of the story. After that, he’ll give you access to his shop, where you can buy this Rosary Bead.

Votive Offering of the Miserable

• Location: Elevated Temples
• Effect: Slightly increases resistance to all elemental damage

Head to the Prie Dieu in the middle of Elevated Temples. Now, go down the ladder and walk to the left. You’ll eventually see another ladder you can use to go down. Use the ladder, head to the right, and jump to reach a platform. You’ll find the chest that contains the Rosary Bead there.

Miniature Pincushion

• Location: Elevated Temples

Don’t leave Elevated Temples yet. Get back to the Prie Dieu you used to reach the previous Rosary Bead and use it to teleport to the Prie Dieu next to The Chapel Of The Five Doves. As you reach this place, walk to the left until you reach a dead end. As you get to the edge, you’ll see that the floor is thin, which means you can drop yourself down through it.

As you drop down, try to fall on the climbable wall. Then, dash to the right to go through the Chain Barrier and reach the chest that contains the Rosary Bead.

Scratched Face from the Canvas

• Location: Basilica Of Absent Faces
• Effect: Significantly increases your resistance against Mystical Damage

Teleport to the Prie Dieu at the Basilica Of The Absent Faces’ entrance. In that same room, go to the top and then go to the left. You’ll find the chest there; you must jump and dash through the Chain Barrier to reach it.

Salt-Covered Spear Point

• Location: Sunken Cathedral
• Effect: Increases resistance to Physical Damage

Teleport to the Prie Dieu at the bottom of the Sunken Cathedral, next to Odón’s Boss Fight room. You’ll see the chest containing the Rosary Bead if you walk to the right. To reach it, go to the left and use the thin platforms you’ll find there, then walk to the right.

Compass of the Stranded

• Location: Labyrinth of Tides

The Compass of the Stranded is near the Salt-Covered Spear Point, so let’s head directly there without teleporting anywhere. First, go back to the Prie Dieu and go to the room on the right. Keep walking until you get inside a cave. That cave has a thin floor section, so you can drop yourself there. That’s how you can enter the Labyrinth of Tides from the Sunken Cathedral.

This first room only has an entrance on the left side, so go there. It’ll lead you to a new room. The first thing you’ll see in this new room is a hole with a climbable wall on the right. Drop yourself down, but stick to the climbable wall, as there’s a set of spikes at the bottom, and getting impaled is never good.

Jump to the left; you’ll see an enemy there. Kill the guy and open the chest you’ll find there to get the Compass of the Stranded.

Imprint of Scalopendra

• Location: The Severed Tower
• Effect: Significantly increases resistance to Fire Damage

Go to the Prie Dieu at the bottom of The Severed Tower and then to the room on the right. The Imprint of Scalopendra is there, but you’ll have to go through a Battle Arena to collect it.

Votive Offering Claimed by Rust

• Location: Sacred Entombments
• Effect: Significantly increases resistance to all elemental damage

This Rosary Bead is hidden in Sacred Entombments, but you must go through The Severed Tower to find it.

Go to the Fast Travel room of The Severed Tower, get out of that room, and drop down as soon as you see two enemies with chandeliers. After that, head right and climb up. Keep climbing up without taking any detours until you reach a room where you can only go to the left.

There are two enemies with chandeliers here; kill or ignore them as you wish. Ring the Bell and climb up, then head right. You’ll reach a bridge with two more enemies. Kill them and continue; this zone will link The Severed Tower with Sacred Entombments.

In this new room, break the switch to open a door that leads to the rest of Sacred Entombments. Now, you’ll see some roots you can break with your Ruego Al Alba; select it, then step on the platform at the left side of the roots, double jump, and pounce to break them. This will lead you to the chest with the Rosary Bead.

Pewter Tears

• Location: Two Moons
• Effect: Significantly increases resistance to Physical Damage

Our next stop is on Two Moons. To get the Pewter Tears, go to the Prie Dieu at the left entrance of Two Moons and then go to the right until you find a room with Cherub Rings. Use them to go up. Go to the room on the right as you get to the top.

As you enter the new room, go to the bottom and kill all the enemies, as they can get in your way to the Pewter Tears. Go to the entrance and ring the Bell, then quickly select your Ruego Al Alba; you’ll use it. Use the platforms to reach the top of the room, and as you get to the end, jump and pounce with the Ruego Al Alba to remove some roots blocking the path. You’ll land next to the chest that contains the Pewter Tears.

Sphere Kissed by the Storm

• Location: Two Moons
• Effect: Significantly increases resistance to Lightning Damage

Let’s not leave Two Moons yet, as the Sphere Kissed By The Storm is near the previous Rosary Bead. So, from where you found the Pewter Tears, go back to the previous room, where you found the Cherub Rings. As you get here, go to the room on the left; it’ll head you to a fountain that gives you access to the upside-down zone of Two Moons.

Leave the fountain room. The first thing you’ll see outside is a Praying Statue. Ignore it and keep going to the right. You’ll now be in a room filled with Cherub Rings and Laser Beams. Defeat all the enemies in the bottom of the room, then use the Cherub Rings and dash through the Laser Beams to avoid getting burned.

You’ll find a Chain Barrier at the other side of the room; dash through it, and you’ll find the chest that contains the Sphere Kissed By The Storm.

Chisel-Engraved Wounds

• Location: Two Moons or Street of Wakes
• Effect: Emits a sound when near a hidden room

There are two ways of getting this Rosary Bead, depending on whether you helped Yerma find the Oil Of Everlasting Anointment. If you didn’t help her, you’ll get the Chisel-Engraved Wounds after the battle against Svsona. The Rosary Bead will be next to her dead body.

But if you helped Yerma and successfully gave her the Oil Of Everlasting Anointment, you can buy this Rosary Bead in Forlorn’s Patio, the shop you’ll find in Street of Wakes.
